1. HOT! HOT! HOT! It's that time of year again; time to assess for possible water intoxication in infants. To assist with the assessment process and counseling on this very important subject a 4 page pamphlet titled "Water Intoxication: The Dangers of Feeding a Baby Too Much Water" can be found at the following DHSS website http://www.dhss.mo.gov/Nutrition_Infants/Publications.html or a one page version of the same pamphlet is attached in a PDF format.
2. The following was featured at the NWA Conference in St. Louis. Please find attached information to facilitate a campaign to market the WIC program. The WIC Localization letter gives helpful tips on how to order outreach information as well as provide tips on reaching the PSA Directors in the local media outlets in your area. An order form is attached and should be sent to the addresses listed at the bottom of the form. The second letter addresses PSA Directors and can be localized as well. Finally, both the Radio and Television lists are attached that includes the name of the radio or television station (s) in Missouri for your use.
