The NWA Conference was a great time for professional development of WIC Staff at the State and local levels. Since you were unable to attend we want to make some professional development options available for your staff as well.
Money that was budgeted to your agency at the beginning of the FFY to use for the NWA Conference can now be used by your WIC staff for other development opportunities but it must be used by Sept. 31, 2005. WOM policy, ER# 1.03700 Conference and Training will provide guidance for spending this money. Please request approval for the conferences or training from your appropriate WIC Field Nutritionists Mark Wright, Northeastern and Eastern districts; Sue Redding, Nortwestern and Southwestern Districts; and Nancy Russell, Southeastern and Central Districts.
When it comes time to bill for these conferences or other trainings, bill for them under Line Item 13 the WIC Conference Line Item on the WIC 24. If questions, please contact Glenn Studebaker.
