HANDS System Training
Local WIC Providers
Description:
An interactive “hands-on” training required for any staff that key data and/or print food instruments. HANDS training agenda items include but are not limited to keying certifications, recertifications, transfers, nutrition education, nutrition assessments (beginning January 2007), printing food instruments from HANDS, issuing manual food instruments, replacing food instruments.and using the WIC Operations Manual (WOM).
Requirements for attending this class:
(1) Completion of WIC Track 1 Training with knowledge of how to complete a WIC income assessment and use of the WIC-1 and WIC-2 certification forms.
(2) His/Her own UserID to access HANDS. Call the ITSD help desk for assistance at 800-347-0887.
(3) Knowledge of keyboard strokes used in HANDS and completion of the pre-keying packet (mailed out one month before the scheduled training).
(4) A basic knowledge of Windows operating system.
