Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance (HSEES) data
is considered public record, as there are no state or federal laws
that close the information collected. A public record includes both
written and electronically stored reports, surveys, memoranda or
other documents. The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS)
may close those portions of the reports that contain the name of
the complainant under Section 610.021(14), RSMo Supp. 1999 and the
Federal Whistleblower Act.
