State Criminal Background Check

The Family Care Safety Registry maintains a computer interface with the Criminal Records and Identification Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Registry currently has statutory authority to request from the Patrol whether a registered caregiver has an open criminal history record that includes information on felony and aggravated misdemeanor arrests that are reported to the central repository.  The criminal history information does not include “closed” record information. The criminal history searches “Missouri data only”.

The FCSR reports criminal history information based on a name search.  Comprehensive information can be obtained using a fingerprint search.  For more information, contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol at (573) 526-6153.
