2004 Diabetes Statewide and Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Regional Fact Sheets (using 2003 data)

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is pleased to present these diabetes fact sheets, one for the state and one for each of Missouri’s seven BRFSS regions, showing key diabetes indicators. The Key to Indicators should be distributed with the fact sheets. It shows the questions from which indicators were derived, who answered each question, response categories and “at risk” or “health behavior” responses.

The study used standard BRFSS methods and techniques. The questionnaire contained standard U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) BRFSS questions as well as optional modules and state-added questions. Data have been weighted to be representative of the adult (>= 18 years of age), non-institutionalized population of the area covered. Questions included in the fact sheets are included in the Key to Indicators.
