From 12 to 18 Months - Books for Babies
Baby Your Baby

Reading and looking at books can be one of the most satisfying
activities you can share with your baby. Many parents find that "story
time" is a great part of their baby's bedtime routine. Carry a
book with you to red during the "waiting times" too.
Talking about the pictures will keep your baby's attention longer
than reading the words. Even if your toddler gets up after you
started showing her the book, you can keep talking about it. She
is still listening to you.
Most babies will eventually become eager listeners when there are
interesting books around the house and someone willing to read aloud.
When selecting childcare, look to see if it has books available.
