Food Instrument (FI) Custodian & Assistant Custodian Training

Local WIC Providers

Description:
FI Custodian & Assistant Custodian Training is provided through the WIC Operations Policy Manual (WOM).  The FI Custodian – Training Manual and Guide Book in the WOM covers the various functions of the FI Custodian and Assistant Custodian including but not limited to ordering FI's, receiving FI's, maintaining auto-reorder levels of FI's, monthly FI accountability duties, maintaining the manual WIC check program, and using the WIC Operations Policy Manual (WOM).  The training is required for staff assigned to FI Custodian or Assistant FI Custodian duties in the local agency.

Requirements for FI Custodian and Assistant FI Custodian duties:
(1) His/Her own UserID to access HANDS.  Call the ITSD help desk for assistance at 800-347-0887.
(2) Knowledge of keyboard strokes used in HANDS.
(3) A basic knowledge of a Windows operating system.
(4)Study and review the WIC FI Training Manual and Guide Book located in the 2008 WIC Operations Manual (WOM).
(5) Complete an actual monthly inventory for your agency.
(6) Submit the training review questions and monthly inventory to:
