Please Note - For best results - view using Internet Explorer

The Vermont Information for Community Assessment (VICA) system is an interactive system that allows you to query for Vermont resident information from various birth, death and Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) datasets and to obtain results in a table.

Either of the links (Death/Birth) below will take you to a table definition page, where the variables for the table rows and columns can be selected. Some of the variables are: cause of death, birth condition, year of occurrence, age, gender, race, and county of residence. Once the basic table structure is selected, you may easily constrain the variables to select the specific information desired. Clicking on table headers will open additional tables to show more detailed data on that category. Age-adjusted and age-specific rates and row or column percentages may also be displayed at your option.

Once the data table is created, you can download the data as Comma Separated Variable (CSV) files for use in other applications such as Microsoft Excel, to produce a chart or graph.

Definitions and documentation for each data set can be found by clicking on the Definitions/Documentation tab at the top of the appropriate table definition page. If you need further assistance creating tables, click on the Tutorial/Demo tab at the top of the page to access a tutorial applicable for all Missouri Information Community Assesment (MICA) based query systems, including VICA.
