School Nutrition Education Program

The School Nutrition Education Program provides nutrition training, technical assistance, and resources to educators and food service personnel in schools, child care facilities, and institutions offering school food service programs.

The objective of the School Nutrition Education Program is to promote the service of nutritious meals and the development of healthy eating habits among children and the adults that care for them.

The program:

• Increases the knowledge and skills of K-12 educators to conduct behaviorally based nutrition education.
• Improves the nutrition knowledge and skills of K-12 students to enhance their academic performance and improve eating behaviors.
