This two-hour training will introduce the concepts of using the SNS software called SNS MOHSAIC Inventory System.  SNS MOHSAIC Training for Local Public Health Agencies (LPHA) and hospitals in Region G & I is designed to be both for new participants and as a refresher for previous trained participants .  There have been enhancements to the system over the past year to make the system more user friendly and these changes will be discussed in detail.

Training Requirements:  In order to be trained, hospital personnel are to complete a SNS user access request form, which will establish an USER ID for the participant. (see attachment)  This form must be mailed or faxed back to the attention of Nick Goeke fax # (573-526-4044).

LPHAs may request access to the SNS Inventory System through ASAP. Click on Health Applications, SNS, Add Access, SNS User.

USER ID Request Form Requirements:  The Social Security Number is required by the Department of Health and Senior Service’s IT Department (ITSD), without it, no USER ID can be issued.  Only the ITSD contact and Nick will see the form; they remain confidential.  Signature is also required by the applicant’s supervisor even if the head of a department is being trained.

If you have already been trained, and/or have a USER ID you do not need to request a new one.

Participants:  LPHA Administrators and staff, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, Clerical Staff, Infection Control, Risk Managers, Safety Personnel, Emergency Management, Emergency Department Nurses, etc. in hospitals.

Presenter: Nick Goeke, MPA, Distance Learning Coordinator for Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services provides statewide training on disaster and preparedness issues and is the department’s instructional designer for eLearning courses.
