Eligibility Criteria

Health Professional Loan Repayment

Each application will be scored using the criteria listed below:

• Completed applications with all attachments included
• Applications postmarked by June 30 deadline
• Qualifying employment as indicated in Missouri Revised Statute 335.245
• Must be employed 40 hours per week
• 80% of time must be spent providing primary care
• Employment area need must be determined by HPSA and DHSS designations
• No existing service contract
• Financial need based upon current loan debt and family indicators as indicated in Missouri Revised Statute 335.212-335.242
• Applicant must be a licensed RN, APN, DDS, MD or DO
• Employers of Advanced Practice Nurses, Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine and Dentists must provide a Sliding Fee Scale, must provide services to Medicare and Medicaid patients and have an agreement with the state Children’s Health Insurance Program to provide services to children under Title XXI.
• Positive Employer recommendation
• Preference to sites with 25% or greater Medicaid patients served
• Applicants debt must be great enough to promote contract compliance
