Emergency Response & Outreach

This one-day, hands-on wet workshop is geared towards clinical microbiology laboratorians with low-to-mid level experience.  Curriculum will cover routine procedures in microbiology and will focus on the use of two differential screening media, Triple Sugar Iron Agar (TSI) and Lysine Iron Agar (LIA) to enhance a laboratory’s bacterial identification procedures.  Participants will have the opportunity to interact and learn from highly trained, experienced microbiologists from the Missouri State Public Health Laboratory.
