Intervention Topics

Intervention topics may include diseases, health conditions, or risk factors. These intervention topics are presented below in a table format that links selected diseases or health conditions to their associated risk factors. If you are creating an intervention to promote change in a particular disease or condition, you might consider addressing the disease or condition as well as all of the associated risk factors in order to be most successful. For example, a high-quality diabetes intervention may include components that address diabetes specifically as well as tobacco prevention, obesity prevention, physical activity, and diet and nutrition. Click on the links in the table below when you feel prepared to begin your intervention. Each of these links will take you to a description of the disease, health condition, or risk factor as well as information on populations, intervention settings, strategies, tools, action steps, and resources.
