Identifying goals and prioritizing objectives A logic model, a process used to organize goals, objectives and action steps, is very useful in prioritizing objectives. To develop a logic model, first determine your overall long-term goal and a series of objectives that will help move you in the direction to achieving this goal. These objectives are then used to identify the specific action steps necessary to create change and benchmarks to determine your progress. In developing the logic model, be sure to include who will be responsible for each action step, as well as the time frame for completion of each action step. Combined into a logic model, these goals, objectives and action steps provide the sequence of necessary actions. From this information, you and your partners can also prioritize activities according to the timeline laid out in the plan. For example, community awareness and support may be needed before you can secure resources to create structural changes. Logic Model
