Prioritizing the Needs of Your Community
See the Priorities MICA site for assistance with prioritizing information about the health conditions and risk factors in your community. Priorities MICA is one of the Missouri Information for Community Assessment (MICA) tools designed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. It can be used as a tool for program planning in order to help you understand the health conditions and behaviors affecting your community. It helps you identify the health conditions, preventive screening or health behaviors that are most important for the entire state or for your county. The system is structured to allow you to rank the importance of several criteria describing your community (e.g., presence of community support for change, presence of racial disparities). These criteria and the rates for different health conditions, preventive screening or health behaviors are then used to create a priority list to identify the issues of greatest concern in your community. |
