About the GAC
The Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) on Aging, in partnership with the Division of Senior Services and Regulation, is committed to providing advice and counsel to the Governor in an effort to enhance the quality of life, independence and dignity of older Missourians.
Purpose
The Governor's Advisory Council on Aging (GAC) was established in 1973 in response to the mandate of the federal Older Americans Act "to take into account, in connection with the matters of general policy arising in the development of administration of the State plan for any fiscal year, the views of recipients of supportive services or nutrition services, or individuals using multipurpose senior center provided under such plan."
