Welcome to our home page.
We are the Section for Child Care Regulation.

We are responsible for regulation of child care facilities in Missouri. We license child care homes, group child care homes and child care centers, and inspect license-exempt child care facilities for compliance with health and safety regulations. We partner with the Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network for the coordination of training for child care providers.

We believe in safe, healthy child care choices for Missouri’s children.

Our Mission
To help ensure the health, safety and welfare of children in licensed family homes, group homes, child care centers and license-exempt programs by establishing appropriate rules, monitoring compliance through inspections, taking enforcement actions, and offering technical assistance, training, and consumer education through collaborative partnerships.
