Standard Population

The 2000 U.S. poulation is the standard population commonly used for calculating age-adjusted rates. Therefore, it has been set as the default for age-adjusted rates within the MICA system. However, the user can change the default to 1940 or 1970 U.S. population for calculating age-adjusted rates.
