Arthritis Foundation
In Missouri, the Arthritis Foundation has a 50-year history of providing arthritis programs and services. The Missouri chapter offices provide and/or partner to provide programs for people with arthritis, public education, professional education, and support for research.


MARRTC
MARRTC, or Missouri Arthritis Rehabilitation Research and Training Center, is the only center of its kind in the United States since 1988 and is located at the University of Missouri in Columbia. MARRTC conducts several research projects to help improve the lives of people with arthritis. Missouri Arthritis Advisory Board
The Missouri Arthritis Advisory Board is comprised of physicians, rheumatologists, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, persons with arthritis, and community partners and provides counsel and direction to the Missouri Arthritis and Osteoporosis Program.


Colleges/Universities
These Missouri universities are internationally renowned for programs in the areas of arthritis research, education and clinical care. A variety of scientific areas of investigation involve research on rheumatic diseases.

Regional Arthritis Centers
Many of the MAOP programs and services are offered through a network of regional arthritis centers (RACs). These centers provide information and support for persons and their families affected by arthritis. This includes organizing and/or providing community support groups, self-management programs, land and aquatic exercise classes, general information about the various types of arthritis, public forums and general presentations. The RACs also organize continuing education courses for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
