Department Update

Deputy Director Nancie McAnaugh came to give the department update.

The department has reorganized since the last board meeting. The divisions were evaluated and placed into four new divisions: Division of Senior and Disability Services, Division or Regulation and Licensure, Division of Community and Public Health, and the Departmental Support Services Division. In addition, the department now only has one deputy director.

Currently the department is extremely busy with Hurricane Katrina. The Center for Emergency Response and Terrorism is working with other agencies to help with the situation. The department is helping prepare a site at the St. Louis Airport for those who evacuated New Orleans.
