| 19 CSR 15-7.021 Amended Rules for In-Home Service Standards |
The amendments to the rule require in-home service providers to ensure the safety of their employees and to allow the department to discontinue services due to abuse or threats by clients or household members.
The amendment also changes the definition of CHORE to match that of HIPAA guidelines.
Services eliminated include lawn care, raking, snow removal, bagging of trash, washing inside windows and blinds that require climbing, and washing curtains.
Debbie Cochran asked if there were any alternatives to provide the services for the in-home customers that CHORE will no longer provide.
Brenda stated that they are working to give out local options (such as the boy scouts) to the in-home services clients.
The rule also corrects the agency name. |
The rule passed with a quorum present on the conference call.
