2007 Missouri Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)
The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) is a research project sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.  The goal of PRAMS is to improve the health of mothers and babies in Missouri.  PRAMS data will assist Missouri in finding out why some babies are born healthy and others are not.  Each year approximately 2100 Missouri women who have recently delivered a baby may expect to receive the PRAMS Questionnaire via mail.  PRAMS will ask questions about selected maternal experiences and behaviors that occur before and during pregnancy and during the child’s early infancy. Women who do not respond to the mail questionnaire may be contacted by phone.

The Missouri PRAMS questionnaire will take about 15-20 minutes to complete.  While participation in Missouri PRAMS is completely voluntary and only a few women are selected to receive the questionnaire, your answers are very important.  If you receive the Missouri PRAMS questionnaire please complete it and send it back to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in the prepaid envelop.  For more information about Missouri PRAMS please call the toll free number at 1-866-808-4048.
